Who is BOUNCE for?

BOUNCE is for designers at every career stage who are curious and want to explore the ‘How’ and ”Why’ of design projects, rather than just marvel at the outcome. It is a place to engage in critical discourse around the discipline of design, be inspired but most importantly learn through the engaging workshops, talks and panel discussions and bring fresh perspectives back to your practice.

When and where is the conference?

Both the workshops and main event will take place in Trinity College, Dublin.  The workshops are scheduled for the 9th Jan at specified times and are limited in capacity. The main event takes place in The Arts Building in Trinity College on the 10th of Jan 2025 from 10am to 5.30pm.

Registration

Day 1: Workshops
For those participating in the workshop(s), details will be provided via email, and we ask you to arrive 15 mins ahead of the start time. If you attend a workshop you will receive your wristband for day 2, so you will not need to register again and can simply arrive at the start time.

Day 2: Main Event
For those attending the main event on the 10th, registration will take place from 8.30am to 9.45am in the concourse in The Arts Building.

Tickets for BOUNCE are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.  T&Cs apply.

I've booked into a workshop, what do I need to know?

It is important to arrive 15 minutes before the workshop start time. You will be met at the arches just beyond the entrance to Trinity College and brought to the session. Please ensure you read the booking email, which lists the requirements for the session.

What time does BOUNCE start and end?

Day 1 is for Workshops only, and the times are listed in the Agenda and confirmed when booking via email.
Day 2 of BOUNCE will start promptly at 10am and finish at 5.30pm. All patrons are kindly asked to vacate the premises by 6pm.

Will the sessions be recorded?

Parts of the event will be recorded and photographed and by attending you consent to your image being taken and used respectfully in marketing/promotional material.

Audience participation

We want you to be part of the event, its discussions and talks. Critical dialogue allows the sector to reflect, move forward and deepens understanding. So be part of it. Before the event, we would love it if you could think about questions you might like to ask the speakers or questions to put to our panels. There will be opportunities throughout to ask questions.

Travel and Accommodation

How do I get to the venue?

There are a number of different options for transport to the venue and we suggest planning your trip in advance and using public transport where possible. Getting to Trinity

Are there recommended hotels nearby?

If you require accommodation, a preferential rate has been arranged with Wren Hotel. Just mention your attendance at BOUNCE when booking.

Is parking available?

Paid parking throughout the city center is available but is not arranged by BOUNCE.

On-Site Services

Will meals or refreshments be provided?

There is an on onsite cafe where food and drink can be purchased.

Is there Wi-Fi at the venue?

Wifi and power outlets are available at the venue. Each audience member will have a power outlet available to them in the theatre.

Are there accessibility accommodations?

The venue is fully accessible.

How do I submit a proposal to speak?

The deadline for the Open Call has now passed. Signup to receive information for the next Call.

Networking and Social Events

Are there any networking opportunities?

The nature of the event is that there is no ‘back-stage’ area therefore speakers and the audience are free to mix and the various breaks.
