Since the age of 16, Ash has volunteered and worked with people with special needs in Ireland, India, Ghana, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Uganda. But, she began to realise that while the work was important, it didn’t fully use her skills — admittedly, she didn’t have many at the time! Her professional career started in design studios, doing everything from brand creation, to art directing and managing large teams on photoshoots. Eager to broaden her expertise beyond the design industry, she pursued a diploma in advanced AI, marking her transition into the AI and the tech space, where she now works. Her career has taken her from Ireland to Lisbon, Melbourne, Bali, San Francisco, and Barcelona. During all this time she never stopped exploring how to merge her passion for cultural immersion and creativity with meaningful social impact. Alongside her partner in crime, Fiona Ennis, she challenged herself to design her way out of unique problems in Malawi and Colombia, with more exciting projects, problems and destinations on the horizon.
