Thiago Maia

Thiago has been in the animation industry since 1999, and for the last 14 years, he has run his own studio, Cookie Studio. He specialises in design, motion graphics, and animation for TV and online clients. Additionally, he co-founded and manages See No Evil—the longest-running Motion Design and Animation festival in London. For nearly 16 years, he's hosted a bi-monthly event, bringing in top speakers to share insights with an audience of 150-300 people. He also delivers workshops in universities, and has created and taught the Motion Graphics course at Escape Studios in London.

Dive into kinetic typography and liquid experiments, exploring both analog and digital techniques. Expect lots of creative thinking and playful exploration as you mix materials and processes to create unique designs. You’ll also learn how to animate typography using After Effects, blending digital type with analog textures like transparent liquids to add depth and distortion.
